Outdoor tables

Build an outdoor table with our DIY woodworking plans.

Creating an outdoor table is easier than you think. At Egenbyggt, you'll find various models you can build yourself. Once you've decided on the design you want, we make sure you get all the information you need for a successful outcome. Start by exploring our outdoor table models. Keep in mind that you can choose the finish you like. A sleek, black table gives a modern impression, while a warm brown color provides a cozier feel. You can also opt for a different type of wood than spruce, but note that finding the right dimensions may be more challenging, requiring custom adjustments. Our instructions are like a recipe for a delicious dinner. A beginner may follow the guide to the letter, while a more experienced builder can get creative. It's entirely up to you how you want to go about it. With our DIY woodworking plans, you save both time and money as we guide you through the process step-by-step. You also get a complete list of materials for each model, which you can take to the hardware store or order online for home delivery. It may be advantageous to visit the hardware store so you can pick out the finest boards and ensure that the lengths match the cutting instructions to minimize waste. Wood is a living material, so when you build an outdoor table from planks, it will change over time, especially when exposed to weather conditions. A good finish will last a long time but may need to be reapplied after a few years to retain its luster. Our outdoor table models, designed to be placed outdoors, are built to larger dimensions to prevent warping. We also ensure that the fastenings and assembly are stable and maintain the table's shape for a long time. Make sure to check the dimensions of the model you choose to ensure it fits your patio. To achieve the best results when building your outdoor table, it's essential to have a clean, flat, and dry surface to work on. Make sure you have enough space for boards and tools. Sometimes, having two people for certain steps can make the process easier. If you're working alone, it's good to have some quick clamps at hand to act as extra helping hands, holding the material in place while you screw and saw. It's also crucial to use screws of the correct dimensions so you don't drive them through the material, causing the tip to protrude on the other side. You can find suitable screws listed in the material section of our instructions. If you do damage the material, it can be repaired with wood filler or by simply cutting a new board. Remember, building should be fun, so don't rush. Follow the instructions carefully and take breaks periodically. With Egenbyggt's DIY woodworking plans, you can easily build your own outdoor table.
