Description
DIY Plan for building a lounge chair. Alhammar is a stylish and understated lounge chair without armrests, designed to fit the relaxed patio. The chair has a thoughtful slope on both the seat and backrest that allows you to sink down comfortably, and it is sized for a seat cushion of 60×60 cm that provides a soft and inviting result. Without armrests, the chair takes up a little less space, making it easy to place several chairs next to each other and thereby create a cohesive lounge sofa. If you want to build a complete lounge group, it is possible to combine the chair with one of Egenbyggt’s tables.
The construction is based on a stable wooden frame where the angle of the seat and backrest is carefully calculated to provide the right seating comfort without compromising strength. The parts of the frame are joined in a way that distributes the load evenly, resulting in a solid and long-lasting piece of furniture well-suited for outdoor use. The digital DIY Plan is delivered as a PDF file and includes complete drawings, a detailed shopping list with all the materials you need, cutting and sawing instructions, as well as a step-by-step assembly guide that takes you through the entire building project. The file can be downloaded immediately after purchase.
The difficulty level is medium and the estimated building time is six to eight hours with basic building experience, but even a beginner can complete this building project with the help of the complete instructions.

How the guide works
Step 1
Get building materials
Bring the shopping list to your hardware store. In many places, you can borrow a trailer for free when you buy the material.
The shopping list includes:
- Lumber dimensions and lengths
- Fixing material
- Accessories (varies depending on project).
Step 2
Cut the parts
All parts are clearly drawn and marked with a letter.
This makes it easy to cut all the parts needed for the build.
Step 3
Assembly
Once the parts are cut, it's time for assembly.
The guide shows step-by-step how to assemble the parts through illustrations and concise information on each step.
Experience the magic when everything fits together perfectly.
