DIY Plan for building a low flower box M. This is a low flower box with a more vibrant expression, where the panel is built with boards of varying widths. The shape and proportions make it well-suited for a deck, patio, or entrance, where it serves as a clear yet understated element.
The flower box is designed for an inner pot with an outer dimension of around 375 mm. The edge of the inner pot rests on an inner board, and the box has a bottom that the pot stands on. The bottom is placed at the height that suits the height of the inner pot, providing flexibility in pot selection. The walls are built with mixed board widths, from about 70 mm up to 145 mm, which gives a varied and more personal appearance.
If you do not want to use an inner pot, the bottom can be made tighter, and the inside can be lined with landscape fabric or planting mat for direct planting in the box. The board widths can also be changed to create a unique expression and further customize the design.
