Description

DIY Plan for building a stool Linnea. This is a neat and stylish stool with straight lines that fits just as well as a seat at the desk as an extra chair in the hallway, bedroom, or living room. The expression is modern and discreet, so the stool blends in without taking over, while still feeling like a real piece of furniture and not just a quick solution.

The construction is made of wood with a stable seat and a frame that provides good stability despite the small format. For an extra durable feel, you can choose laminated oak, but other sheet materials also work if you want to keep it simpler. Some fastenings are made with pocket holes so that screws are hidden and the surfaces remain clean and neat, which is suitable when the stool will be visible in the home. To achieve nice, straight cuts, it helps to use a plunge saw or circular saw with a rail, and a table saw also works well if you have one.

Stool Linnea is designed to match Desk Linnea and provides a cohesive small workspace, but it works just as well on its own as a convenient extra seat when you have guests. The difficulty level is medium and the build time is about 4–6 hours depending on pace and experience.

In this DIY Plan, you will receive a complete drawing in PDF as a digital file to download. It includes a complete shopping list, cutting and sawing instructions with drawings, as well as step-by-step assembly instructions that take you from the first cut to the finished stool.

Very easy to follow! Didn’t have a drill jig, so I joined the top and bottom by drilling angled screws, worked well too!
